Why visit Orense?

Because Orense, besides being the third most populated city in Galicia, has an extraordinary heritage. It was founded by the Romans, who probably named it Auriense, a term that refers to the amount of gold that the area possessed. O Carballiño

In just over 20 minutes you can get from Orense to O Carballiño driving your rental van along the A-52, AG-53 and AG-54 for 28 kilometers. Once here, don't forget to visit the Church of Vera Cruz, an unfinished work by Antonio Palacios, the castreño site of San Cibrán de Las, the Pazo de los Quiroga and Santa Baia de Banga. Ribadavia
