How to get to El Hierro

El Hierro Airport operates daily flights to Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

1. Tribute to the Bajada: Sculpture created by the artist Rubén Armiche with all kinds of waste. La Bajada is a pilgrimage that takes Virgen de Los Reyes from La Dehesa to Valverde. The festival takes place every four years, on the first Saturday of July.
2. Iglesia de la Concepción: Main religious center of the island. It is located in the center of the city of Villa de Valverde and has most of the historical heritage of El Hierro.
3. Ethnographic Center Casa de las Quinteras: It is located to the south of the city, in the street Armas Martell. It also has a small store where you can buy handmade products from El Hierro.
4. Garoé: Holy tree that has become the symbol of the island. Visit also its interpretation center.
